The two of us both look back when the sound of the double doors at the top of the stairs opens. Brianna comes down the stairs, holding a Starbucks carrier with three cups. She places it on the exam table and takes a cup for herself.

"Hey," she greets us. "Mind if I watch you do whatever it is you're doing? Soren and the King are being royal pains, and it's kinda boring. They told me you guys were
