In her panic, Sloane suddenly collided with a waitress who was carrying a tray.

"Miss, are you alright?" the waitress asked, concern in her voice.

Sloane shook her head and tried to push herself up.

But her body felt increasingly limp, her strength slipping away bit by bit.

To her shock, she couldn't even manage to stand.

"Are you feeling alright?" The waitress crouched down beside Sloane, steadyi
