Sloane stared at Vaughn, utterly stunned by what he was doing. 'How could a big shot like him linger at my place and refuse to leave?' she thought.

Given who he was, she couldn't exactly tell him to get out. "It's so late, and you still want coffee?" Sloane couldn't help but ask.

"Is that a problem?" Vaughn's deep eyes swept over her, carrying an unspoken authority.

She thought, 'He's my boss, and
