Vaughn stared straight at her with his eyes. "Then if I ask you to come to my place tonight, would you go?"

Sloane's mind buzzed loudly, like something had exploded inside it.

She wondered, 'He wants me to go to his house tonight? What does that mean?'

Sloane parted her red lips, about to say something. Just then, Vaughn's phone rang.

He answered it. A familiar male voice came through the speaker.
