After a moment of calming myself down and erasing what had just happened earlier, I scrambled to dress properly.

I wanted to help. Rogues were trying to invade Hemlock.

As soon as Darius vanished from the lake—his silver wolf tearing through the trees like death itself—I hurriedly emerged from the water. My instincts screamed at me to run after him, to join the fight, to make sure he
