As Sloane spoke, Jaxon's face drained of color. 'No鈥? he thought.
"You're lying," Jaxon shouted, as if yelling could make it any less true.
"Blair saved me. You were traveling, Blair even hurt her hand; she's the one who saved me," he denied desperately, his words coming out in a frantic mess.
