An Arrogant Request

Silas heaved a sigh of relief at the sight of Valerie. “Ms. Vance, you're here.”

He deliberately called her even though she was still some distance away.

Sure enough, Dominic's stern expression softened visibly when he heard Silas.

Valerie glanced at Silas and chuckled. “You've worked hard.”

Noticing that Valerie had seen right through his antics, Silas smiled sheepishly. “Thank you, Ms. Vance.”
