A Gentle Punishment

Rowena helped Desmond to the hospital bed and pulled the blanket over him.

He had just finished surgery and was still weak. He was cold and trembling non-stop after standing in the hallway for over half an hour.

Rowena turned on the heater in the room before sitting beside his bed.

She poured a glass of warm water and handed it to him, saying, “Kian told me everything when you were in the operatio
