Pierce furrowed his brows, waiting with great interest for his response.

“Mr. Mercer has locked Ms. Mercer up, and she is not allowed to come out without his consent,” the butler replied respectfully.

Pierce snorted. “That's good. At least she won't be able to come to Riverstone and cause trouble anymore. Finally, we'll have some peace and quiet for a while.”

He waved his hand
