Roth’s eyes stayed locked on her, a cold amusement buried under the heat. “I figured you already had your fun,” he said, voice smooth, “so I’m here to help you clean up.”

Roth’s next words came out hard, metallic. “Get rid of him. Make sure he never surfaces again. Chop him up, feed him to the sharks.”

The two men echoed in perfect, horrible unison: “Copy, boss.”
