Answer to No One

Although Tessa was getting an offer that she couldn't resist, she was anxious to know more, so she texted, "Why do you want to help me, and what are you getting out of it?"

A couple of seconds passed, and then a few more minutes went by without her getting a response.

Realizing that she was never going to get an answer to her questions, Tessa put her phone back into her purse and focused on her
