Both families had plenty of supplies and didn't need to eat much of the harvest. Most of the cacti they picked were stored away in Sadie's storage space.

Hank and Carla's families were different. They traded a large portion of their cacti for other supplies.

Fresh cacti couldn't sit around for long. In the heat, they would spoil in just two days.

After keeping enough for their meals, they took the
