A Tragic Miracle

The agonizing cold of the snow faded, replaced by the blinding glare of fluorescent lights. A jarring cacophony of sound shattered the darkness. Rubber soles squeaked against polished linoleum. Shouts echoed down the sterile white halls of the hospital.

"Trauma victim, female, mid-twenties!" a nurse barked, her voice slicing through the chaotic emergency ward. "Blunt force abdominal trauma. Vital
