As Gideon opened his eyes, he glanced around the ward but didn't see the figure he was hoping for, and a dimness clouded his eyes.

"Gideon, you're awake. Look at this, how many fingers am I holding up?" Jaxon asked and immediately extended three fingers towards Gideon upon seeing him awake.
