Taking the Reins

Upon hearing Desmond's words, a flash of anger crossed Preston's eyes, but he quickly masked it.

"Now is not the time to be stubborn, Desmond. If Maya really gets hurt, it'll be too late for regrets!" Preston warned.

Desmond looked coldly at Preston. "If you're so worried, why don't you go and persuade her yourself?"
