VALERIA’S POV

I watched as his eyes dimmed low as he saw me kneeling before him. His face seemed tired. Tired from a lot of things he wouldn't want to speak of, and so, he made way to turn back and excuse himself from my presence.

He didn’t even stare at me for long before he decided it was best for him to leave, like I was a pest he couldn’t wait to get rid of, or a disease he was preventing.
