Kaelen's expression darkened as he cast a shadowed, sidelong glance at Diane beside him.

After a long pause, Kaelen spoke in a detached tone. "Even though they're about to get divorced, Clara is still Declan's wife, and in a way, that makes her family to me. Since I get along well with her, shouldn't you be relieved, Diane?"

At his words, Diane's brow relaxed slightly. That made sense.

"I have mat
