Clara saw that Victor looked upset and didn't dare drag things out any longer.

She grabbed the phone, found Kaelen's number, called him, and handed the phone back to Victor.

"Grandpa, you called me?" Not long after, Kaelen's deep, magnetic voice came through the phone, right in Clara's ear.

Victor said sternly, "Come home right now. I have something important to ask you."
