Crossing the Line

"What's inappropriate?" Kaelen's gaze flickered with amusement. "You're getting divorced anyway."

In other words, since the divorce was imminent, nothing really mattered anymore.

Still, the situation made Clara's heart race. Kaelen was Declan's uncle, after all.

She hadn't even divorced Declan yet, so technically, Kaelen was also her uncle-in-law. Getting too close with Kaelen was just too much.
