Vivian weakly grabbed Tess's hand. "Forget it, he won't listen to anything we say now. He doesn't believe a word I say, so what's the point? Even if he did think this baby was his, I couldn't stay with him."

She pulled the document from her pocket and tossed it onto the coffee table.
