My mind was racing. Hecate has all the pieces of the Horcrux now. What will happen next? How was she able to get it from the City of Abyss when the Old Witch was there? I did not want to think of the worst possible scenario but it seems that Hecate had done it. She had killed the Old Witch before taking the pieces of the Horcrux and bringing this creature for me to fight.
