Paying the Price

Celine turned her head, her gaze cold as she looked at Gideon.

"No!" Gideon hurried to explain, "I'm not siding with her, I just don't want you to get blood on your hands. It's not worth it!"

Celine expressionlessly pulled the shard of glass from Gideon's palm, tossing it on the floor without caring whether it was stained with his blood.

She scoffed, "Mr. Sterling really has no common sense. This
