A whole day passed, and I managed to avoid Bea like she was carrying the plague in one hand and heartbreak in the other. I was out of the castle at night or keeping myself busy during the day to ensure I wouldn’t bump into her, even by mistake. Whenever I did spot her, it was always from the safety of a shadowy corner, keeping myself well out of sight. Like some overgrown, brooding stalker
