Valeria’s POV

I woke up in an unfamiliar room.

The sunlight piercing through the curtainless window momentarily blinded me as I slowly blinked myself into full consciousness. My body felt sore, heavy even, like I had been through a storm I couldn't remember. A chill brushed over my skin and I yanked the duvet closer, a creeping dread pooling in my chest.
