Cracked Facade

Declan had just pushed open the door when someone followed him.

"Declan." Stella stood behind him pitifully. Her voice was soft, weak, and powerless.

"Why aren't you resting?" Declan frowned when he saw Stella.

Stella's body swayed. "Are you looking down on me? I'm sorry. I wanted to help you. But I almost caused trouble."

"No." Declan shook his head. "I'm already happy that you're willing to help
