A Cruel Keepsake

In the box was a transparent glass bottle the size of a bowl. The bottle was filled with a light green potion of unknown ingredients.

These were not important. What was important was that there were two humanoid things soaking in the potion.

Realizing something, Declan's fingers trembled and the bottle almost fell from his palm.
