Lila fell to the carpet. She held her burning cheek and looked at Victor in disbelief. "Dad, Dad, you hit me."

Victor lowered his trembling fingers and reprimanded, "You're disregarding human lives. If I don't teach you a lesson, you'll cause trouble sooner or later."

Lila covered her face and stood up, glaring at him with teary eye
