Declan wasn't a fan of my snarky attitude. He lowered his voice and said, "You're her mom. What's so inconvenient about that? Honestly, I think you just don't want to come."

I nodded. "I've got a ton of work, really don't have the time. So, I'll have to ask you to spend more time with her."

"It's kind of awkward for me to hang out with my daughter all the time. Luckily, Chloe's on vacation and bac
