I woke up this time around to find out that it was not a dream. I really couldn’t see.

I sat up, using my hand to check around for Darius and he was gone. I tried to swallow the stab I felt in my chest. the stab of betrayal.

“you’re up!” it was Eleanor. She sounded excited. “I would go get the king” she sounded like she was hurrying to go out.

“STOP!” I didn’t hear any movement
