Upon returning to the villa, Kaelen made his way to the study on the second floor. His expression was clouded with gloom.

Martha noticed his somber demeanor and turned to Brielle with a baffled look. "What's wrong with Kaelen?"

"It's because of me, Mrs. Hollis!" Tessa entered from outside the door. She smiled as she greeted Martha.

"Oh, Tessa is here!" Martha smiled back. "But why is he unhappy wh
