Evie stepped out of the bathroom in just her underwear. She paused when she saw Leo already awake in bed. His messy hair and the sheet resting low on his waist made her pulse jump.

“Morning, Evie Bee.”

She smiled, watching his muscles shift. “Morning.”

“Hungry?”

“A little. You?”

Leo reached for his pants draped over a chair and pulled out his phone. “We’ve got time.”

“Okay… you want to eat first?”
