"Wow, where's my man again?" I heard Violet ask, making the other ladies laugh.

"This mean I can sleep with you tonight?" I asked Mae, ignoring everyone else. Her face softened as she rested her hands on my chest, over my cut.

"Since you asked instead of assumed, I suppose it would be rude to say no," she replied.
