Jace's POV

A few days had gone by without Keegan talking to me or crossing my path. At first, I thought he was angry with me for being mentioned in the conversation. That's why he needed time. But now it was so obvious that Nadia must have said something terrible that had driven a wall between us.

I furiously walked to her room and knocked.

"Come in," she answered simply.

When I opened the door, I
