Cora and Briar both jumped and pressed their backs against the wall to steady themselves.

They watched dirt and rocks rain down from the ceiling and exchanged a look. They thought, 'Is this actually an earthquake?'

Dull, heavy blows echoed from above, like someone was pounding on the roof. Thirty seconds later, the tunnel ceiling exploded open.
