Siena’s POV

The sunlight stung my eyes when I finally blinked awake. My head felt heavy, my body sore. I felt like I was waking up after ages.

I shifted a little to the other side, only to freeze.

My mom sat on the edge of the bed, her hand clutching mine tightly, her eyebrows furrowed with worry. Beside her stood my brother Dario, arms folded, his jaw clenched so tight I could hear the grind of h
