A Desperate Plea

Roman's POV

The sharp crack of her palm against my cheek echoed through the confined space of the Maybach. My skin burned from the impact. The sheer audacity of the blow left a stinging imprint on my jaw.

"You're the first woman who has ever dared to strike me," I warned. My voice dropped to a guttural register, a dangerous sound that belonged more to the beast inside me than the man. "Do you h
