I watch her walk away and I don't try to stop her this time.

My feet stay planted where I stand, my tongue heavy. It was like something inside me knew that if I chased her....it would make things worse.

And Goddess it hurt to stay and watch her walk away because I wanted to so badly to stop her and pull her into my arms. Ask her why. Ask her why I would ever let her go.
