"Enough, Sylvia," Preston snapped, his temper getting the better of him. "You don't get to tell me what to do."

Sylvia stood there, stunned by his outburst, tears streaming down her face.

After a moment, she found her voice, her words shaky but firm. "Fine, Preston. You win. But let's get one thing straight: everything that's ours is going to our son. That other kid doesn't stand a chance."
