A Night of Absurdities

The desperate, trembling sound of Fiona’s voice echoed in Sienna Caldwell’s mind. "Sienna, help! I've been molested at the club!"

Her lungs burned as she sprinted down the dim, neon-lit corridors of the clubhouse. She skidded to a halt. Room 808. The brass number plaque glared at her under the low lights. It was the exact room her best friend had texted her. She did not hesitate. Sienna shoved the heavy door open, rushing in to save her friend.

Pitch-black darkness swallowed her the moment she crossed the threshold. Before her eyes could adjust, a massive, scorching hand clamped like a vice around her wrist. A brutal yank dragged her deep into the unlit room.

The heavy door slammed shut behind her with a sickening thud.

"Hey—who are you, and what do you want?!" Sienna shrieked. She thrashed, her eyes darting through the impenetrable black, trying to find an escape route.

"Settle down, and I'll treat you well." A man’s husky, heavy voice grated directly against her ear. His breath was a furnace.

Before the terrifying promise could register, a pair of strong arms hoisted her off the floor. She was thrown onto a leather couch. She scrambled, scraping her nails against the cushions to get to her feet, but a lean, rock-hard body crashed over her, pinning her flat.

She opened her mouth to scream, but a pair of burning lips, tasting sharply of peppermint and alcohol, smashed into hers.

The man radiating a feverish, unnatural heat trapped her flailing arms above her head with one hand. Sienna cried out against his mouth. Tears of sheer panic spilled down her cheeks as she bucked her hips, fighting with every ounce of her strength. Her frantic struggles meant nothing against his sheer mass. He was a force of nature, driven by a drug-fueled frenzy.

With his free hand, he grabbed the hem of her dress and ripped the fabric up to her waist. Sienna sobbed, pleading into the dark, but he was deaf to her cries. He wedged his knee between her thighs, forcing her legs wide open. There was no hesitation, no gentle prelude. The man shoved his hard penis directly into her dry vagina.

Sienna let out a muffled, agonizing wail as her hymen tore. The brutal, unlubricated friction burned like fire. He ruthlessly claimed her innocence, driving his hips forward in relentless, punishing thrusts. His cock pounded deep into her tight pussy, stretching her flesh to its breaking point. She scratched at his shoulders, choking on her own tears, but he merely groaned, burying his face in the crook of her neck. He fucked her without mercy, plunging her deeper and deeper into a suffocating abyss of pain and trauma until her struggles weakened into broken, silent sobs.

An hour later, the nightmare ended. The man had passed out in the dark.

Sienna staggered out of Room 808. Her dress hung in tatters. Her thighs were smeared with dried blood and semen, and her legs shook so violently she had to lean against the corridor wall to keep from collapsing. Despite the fresh, raw trauma shredding her soul, her immediate thought was still Fiona. She needed to make sure her best friend had escaped.

With trembling fingers, she reached into her clutch to dial Fiona’s number.

Down the hall, a side door swung open, spilling golden light into the corridor. Laughter drifted through the air. Sienna froze. She stared at the group of men and women strolling out toward the valet. Under the bright lights, two figures stood out with sickening clarity.

One was Fiona, the girl who had just sobbed for help on the phone. The other was Blaire Caldwell, Sienna’s stepsister. They were not running. They were not crying. The two girls strolled side by side, their arms linked together in perfect camaraderie, giggling like old friends.

The crushing reality hit Sienna like a physical blow. The setup. The text message. The dark room.

"Stop right there, Fiona!" Sienna yelled. Her voice cracked, raw and raspy. She pushed off the wall, her fists clenching so tight her blunt nails bit into her palms.

Fiona and Blaire paused and swiveled around. Their smiles vanished for a split second before twisting into identical smirks. Sienna dragged her battered body toward them. Her pale face contorted with a mix of shock and pure rage.

"Why?" Sienna demanded, her voice shaking. "Why would you lie to me?!"

Fiona let out a mocking laugh. "It's not my fault that you're always so gullible, Sienna." The friendly mask Fiona had worn for years shattered, revealing the ugly truth underneath. "Did you actually think I was your friend? I've been living in your shadow ever since we met! I hate you. I look at you and I want nothing more than to ruin that pretty face of yours."

Blaire stepped forward, her eyes trailing over Sienna’s ripped dress and bruised neck with sadistic delight. "Did you have a good time with that gigolo back there?" she asked in a wicked, sing-song voice.

Sienna swayed, the agony between her legs flaring with every heartbeat. The chastity she had protected for nineteen years was gone, sacrificed on the altar of their twisted jealousy.

"I have all the proof I need," Blaire continued, her voice dripping with venom. "I’m going to show Dad the photos proving you’ve been pimping yourself out for money at this club. It won't be long until you're thrown out of the house. You’re done, Sienna."

"You two—" Sienna gasped, raising a trembling hand. The collective weight of her best friend's betrayal and her sister's cruelty slammed into her, nearly knocking her knees out from under her.

Blaire rolled her eyes and looped her arm back through Fiona’s. "Let's go, Fiona. We don't want to be seen standing next to trash, do we?" They turned their backs on her, strutting toward a sleek sports car parked by the curb, leaving Sienna to drown in the wreckage of her life.

Three days later, the trap sprang shut.

Inside the grand living room of the Caldwell residence, the air vibrated with explosive anger.

"You became an escort for money just because I wouldn't let you go abroad for your studies?" Warren Caldwell roared, slamming his palm against the mahogany coffee table. "How can I, Warren Caldwell, be capable of having such a shameless daughter like you?"

"Dad, I didn't—" Sienna pleaded. Her eyes were red and swollen, her voice breaking as she stood in the center of the room.

"You didn't? But you did, Sienna! The photos are right there!" Warren pointed a shaking finger at the scattered pictures on the table, showing blurry images of a disheveled Sienna staggering out of the club corridor. "How could you go to such shameless lengths? Did we starve you? Did we deprive you of anything?"

Sitting elegantly on the leather couch, Lydia Monroe smoothed down her jewel-encrusted skirt and sneered. "I can't believe you would pimp yourself to random strangers in a filthy clubhouse. For your sake, I hope you haven't brought any foul disease back to this house. Who knows what my daughter and I could have caught from you sharing our air."

Sienna took a step forward, tears spilling down her cheeks. "Dad, please, listen to me. I really didn't do it. Fiona sent me a message, she said she was in trouble—"

Warren raised his hand, cutting her off. He glowered at her, his eyes devoid of a single ounce of paternal affection. "Still lying to my face. Get out of this home right now. I will not stand to have you under my roof for another second. No daughter of mine could be so shameless. From now on, you are not my child!"

The finality of his words struck Sienna like a blade to the chest. He disowned her. Just like that.

She looked at the thunderous disgust on her father’s face and realized there was no point in begging. Her throat tightened. She spun on her heel and marched up the grand staircase to pack her belongings.

When she reached the upper landing, a figure blocked her path. Blaire leaned against the wooden banister, her chin propped on her hand, a triumphant smirk plastered across her face. Everything had gone exactly according to her master plan.

"Get out of here," Blaire sneered, crossing her arms over her chest. "Don't linger around like an eyesore. This house will never have a place for you ever again. You’re just a pathetic stray mutt now."

Sienna stopped. She stared at Blaire’s gloating expression, her fists clenching at her sides. The raw trauma of that dark room in the club surged back to the surface.

Noticing the silent, burning hatred in Sienna’s eyes, Blaire let out a haughty laugh. She leaned forward, tapping her own cheek. "What? Do you want to slap me or something? Go right ahead, then. I dare you."

Sienna did not hesitate.

She swung her arm back and delivered a brutal, full-force slap across Blaire’s face. The sharp crack echoed loudly down the stairwell.

Blaire stumbled back, clutching her stinging cheek. Her eyes widened in genuine shock before she let out a dramatic, shrill wail. "Ah! You just hit me! Mom, Dad—Sienna just hit me!" She howled at the top of her lungs, turning and bolting down the stairs.

Lydia leaped off the couch, catching her crying daughter at the bottom of the steps. "How dare you strike my daughter, Sienna! What the hell are you playing at?!"

Warren rushed over, his eyes locking onto the bright red handprint blooming across Blaire’s skin. His face purpled with rage.

"Dad, it hurts so much..." Blaire sobbed, burrowing her face into her father’s chest. She took exaggerated, shuddering breaths, acting as though she had been brutally beaten.

Warren wrapped his arms around Blaire, holding her tight. He tilted his head up and roared at the top of the stairs, "Get out of here, Sienna!"

Sienna watched the heartwarming family portrait from the landing. The anger drained out of her, leaving behind a stone-cold, hollow clarity. Ever since her mother died, she had been an outsider. Warren had moved his mistress and illegitimate daughter into the house, replacing her entirely. He never asked what happened to her that night. He never cared.

She walked into her bedroom, grabbed her passport and a small duffel bag, and headed back down. Without a single word, without a backward glance at the man she once called her father, Sienna walked out the front door for good.

Five years later.

The crisp morning wind of Aldridge rattled the windows of a modest apartment. Sienna sat at her drafting table, poring over a stack of fresh design sketches, when a firm knock broke her focus.

Frowning, she set her pencil down, crossed the small living room, and pulled the front door open. Two tall, broad-shouldered Asian men in tailored black suits stood in the hallway.

"Who are you looking for?" Sienna asked in Chinese, her guard immediately going up.

"Are you Miss Sienna Caldwell?" the man on the left asked in precise English.

"I am. And you are?"

"We were asked to look for you," the man said, offering a polite nod. "Your mother, Cora Dalton, saved our young master's life back in the day. The old madam whom we serve wishes to see you."

Sienna narrowed her eyes. "Who's the old madam you serve?"

"Old Madam Hawthorne."

The name clicked. The Hawthorne Group. The most powerful conglomerate in her home country. Her late mother, a righteous and fearless police officer, had died in the line of duty saving the Hawthorne family’s oldest grandson. Sienna carried that pride in her heart every single day. She knew exactly why these men were standing on her doorstep. They wanted to offer her compensation. They wanted to clear their conscience.

"I'm sorry, but I don't intend to see her," Sienna stated with icy resolve.

The men exchanged a surprised look. "Miss Caldwell, the Hawthorne family simply wishes to repay the debt—"

"I don't need your repayment," Sienna cut him off.

Before the men could argue, the patter of small feet echoed from the bedroom behind her. A childish, sweet voice called out, "Mommy, who is it?"

Sienna’s posture stiffened. She glanced over her shoulder, her protective instincts flaring. "No one, sweetie. Go back to your toys."

She turned her sharp gaze back to the suited men. "Sorry, but I'm really not in the mood for guests at the moment. Don't come back."

Without waiting for their reply, she slammed the door shut, sliding the deadbolt into place.

Thousands of miles away, back in her home country, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across a sprawling hillside villa.

Inside the expansive living room, a man sat in the center of a black leather couch. The air around him was heavy, suffocating under his sheer presence.

"Have you tracked her down?" Declan Hawthorne’s voice was deep, commanding, and laced with an undercurrent of dangerous authority.

A subordinate stood rigid before the coffee table, bowing his head respectfully. "Yes, Young Master Declan. We followed the trail you gave us. The girl from the clubhouse Room 808 five years ago just sold off your custom watch at the second-hand market."

Declan’s dark eyes narrowed, a cold, predatory light flashing in their depths. The ghost of that night, the woman who had cried beneath him in the dark, had finally surfaced.

"Find her," Declan ordered, his tone absolute.
