Dawn broke.

Hearing the door open, Serena snapped out of her daze and looked up. Daphne was already running toward her with a bright smile.

Mara and Dane stepped inside, suppressing their disgust at the sight of the broken man. They swiftly tied him up and hauled him off to the police station. Maybe they'd even earn a commendation for it.

Daphne sat in the car, gazing at the sunrise outside. Seren
