We walked together through the ruins of Crystal Moon. It still smelled like a damp campfire as water had been used to put out the flames that had engulfed the city. Three days in the heat of summer had also caused the bodies not recovered from the wreckage to smell, and the scent was choking me. I breathed through my mouth and tried not to vomit.
