"Mum? Mum?! Mum!" I shook her frantically but she just dropped on one of the dining chairs looking like she had seen a ghost. "Mum, come on, tell me what's wrong." I said before glancing at the phone in my hand. Could it be? "Did something happen to Maeve?" I asked. She then whispered something so softly that I didn't even hear her.

"Maeve didn't make it." My heart sank.
