Nolan's Wrath

Alana's POV

The gentle brush of Desmond's hand against mine sends a jolt of pure panic straight through my system. I yank my hand back. I quickly pull off the borrowed apron, toss it onto the kitchen counter, and hastily head straight for the front door. Being alone in Desmond's apartment suddenly feels wrong. It feels dangerous to my fragile emotional state. My heart hammers against my ribs, ech
