Chapter 46:

TESSA

After hiding Rhys’s laptop, I went downstairs to join my friends. Wyatt decided to make dinner. I wondered if I should be worried since everyone seemed a bit tipsy.

I sat on one of the chairs at the end of the kitchen counter. Everyone appeared engrossed in some conversation while sipping wine. Clara came over a minute later, sitting next to me.

“Hey!” she said, smiling at me, her big green
