Bryce paced in his house, his heart racing as he pressed the phone to his ear.

“Calm down,” Hugh said from the couch, his legs crossed casually.

Bryce didn't say anything, but he could tell Hugh was anxious too by the way his mouth kept twitching, though he wouldn't admit.

The phone rang in his ear and so did his heart.

“Hello?” It was finally answered.

“Hi, am I speaking to Ophelia Knox?” Bryce a
