Bea stared at the phone in her hands, the silence stretching between them as Dean navigated through increasingly chaotic streets. Smoke was rising from several directions now, thick black plumes that stained the sky. The sound of sirens seemed to come from everywhere at once, mixed with shouting, breaking glass, the distant pop of what might have been gunfire.
