Elodie’s POV
The next morning, I take a plate of fruit and walk toward the garden doors. Nyara is sitting outside, a blanket spread across her legs and a small tray beside her. She looks better, color has returned to her cheeks, and her hair, though still a bit messy, shines under the early light.
“You’re finally awake,” she says when she spots me. “I was starting to think you’d forgotten about me
