(**Maverick’s POV**)

Maverick, Rhys, and Conrad flew from the roof of Whispers Retreat towards the beach house. On the roof, Maverick was hesitant to shift to take flight with his brother. Conrad had come up last minute claiming to want to go help his sons find out what was going on. After debating their strategy plan, the three men finally shifted into their favored birds.

Maverick shifted into
