Two mornings later, Wyatt wakes up with one shoe on, one shoe missing, and a plan to ruin every calm thought I had before coffee.
He’s standing in his crib when I step into the nursery, cheeks flushed, hair sticking up in the back, sleep sack twisted around one leg, and the second he sees me, he points at the floor and announces, “No.”
I blink. “No, what?”
He points again, more offended t
