Watching Cobb in the courtroom feels like watching someone play a role they rehearsed in front of a mirror, practicing being innocent until it looks believable. He sits there in a suit, hands folded, eyes polite, and every time the judge speaks he nods like he's respectful, like he's a good citizen who'd never hurt anyone.
